This house is completely restored but has retained its traditional charm. Set up like a luxurious personal home, the gardens and natural spring create an atmosphere of serene ‘dolce vita’. Surrounding you with luscious color, scents and soothing sounds as you sip wine and view the gorgeous mountains in your own castle with an olive grove in complete privacy.
Upstairs, the house has two bedrooms. Both bedrooms come equipped with king-size beds, ample closet space and beautiful views of the valley below. There is also a fully equipped bathroom on the top floor which includes a shower, toilet, bidet, sink and washing machine.
Downstairs there is a sizeable and fully stocked kitchen, dining room and a large living room. The living room comes complete with a sofa bed that comfortably sleeps two, a television and wood-burning stove. Adjacent to the living room is a second bathroom that comes with a toilet, bath with a shower function and sink.
The house is equipped with an outdoor pizza oven that used to be used by the nearby village of Montefino as a communal oven, that can be used at the discretion of the owner. Fonte Delle Monache has two terraces, at the front and rear of the house and not a single bad view between them! Both come with dining areas that are ideal for eating your meals outside during the warm summer months. Since the farmhouse is built on top a natural spring, from the front porch you can hear the gentle cascade of spring water coming out of the nearby tap.
In the summer there is a 7-meter diameter dipping pool that looks out unobstructed over the beautiful Abruzzo landscape — perfect for cooling off after the beach or a day of sunbathing.
Stunning views for restorative contemplation. 5 acres of property, including the Olive Grove and many fruit trees, the pool terrace (which can be locked away from non-swimmers) and the entire farmhouse, including hot tub and fireplace in Winter.

You will need a car for this rural paradise. The Adriatic is approximately 30 minutes away and in the winter you have your choice of a large ski resort that is 2 hours away or several small ski resorts that are only 40 minutes away. There is a nearby huge national park where you can hike and look at wildflowers. You can drive to Rome in about 2 1/2 hours. There is an international airport in Pescara, which is about 40 minutes away that has direct flights from London and other cities in Europe. You can easily pick up a car rental in Rome and in Pescara. Anacona is where you can catch a ferry to Croatia and it is two hours away by car. There is a large train station in Pescara as well.
